Sacrament & Ministry to
the Sick and Elderly:

This sacrament of healing expresses the love of God and our Church for our sick, shut-ins, and elderly unable to come to Church. Whether at home or in the hospital, please inform the rectory.  Hospital vistitations take place three times a week at Bridgeport Hospital and St. Vincent's Hospital.

If you or a family member has been admitted through the hospital's emergency room, please contact the rectory so that they may be included in our visitation list.

For the seriously sick and dying, please contact the rectory immediately — day or night.

Devotions Schedule:

Miraculous Medal Novena
Mondays at 7:00 p.m.

In 1927 at Mary's Central Shrine in Philadelphia, a Novena of nine consecutive days was held each year in preparation for each of the four principle feasts of Our Lady.  Because of its popularity, Novenas became a weekly service.  A few years later, a diocesan priest began the Novena service in his parish.  Today, the Novena service is held in thousands of parishes throughout the world.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Held on the first Friday of each month following the 7:30 a.m. Mass and concludes at  7:15 a.m. Saturday.

This is a time of quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.  Participants are asked to pray for vocations, however they should also feel free to pray for anything they wish.

Recitation of the Rosary
Monday—Saturday at 7:10 a.m.; preceding the daily Mass.

The word rosary means a garland (or crown) of roses.  The rose is often one of the flowers used to symbolize the Virgin Mary.  The rosary is a devotion in honor of the Virgin Mary. It consists of a set of prayers: the Apostles’ Creed, Our Father (Lord’s Prayer), Hail Mary, and Glory Be.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA):

Anyone interested in becoming a Roman Catholic becomes a part of this process, as can any adult Catholic who has not yet received all the sacraments of initiation. For further information, please contact the Rectory or click here.
