Altar Servers:
Third graders through high school students assist in the Mass celebration on Sundays, funerals, weddings, and special services.  For more information, please contact the rectory.

Arts and Environments:
A groups of volunteers that help with the esthetics of the Church for special holidays and holy days.  For more information, please contact Jo at 374-2158.

Bereavement Support:
Available as requested.  For more information, please contact the parish office.

Bible Study:
Are you interested in learning more about sacred scripture?  Are you looking for spiritual fulfillment outside of the Mass?  If so, why not join the Bible Study group at our own parish?  Newcomers are welcome and no prior experience is necessary.  There is a nominal fee for course materials.
 

Morning:

Meets on Thursday mornings from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. in the parish center.  Free babysitting is available.  For more information, contact Lara @384-1505 .

 

Evening:

Meets on Thursday evenings at 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. in the parish center.  For more information, contact Maureen at 761-3233 or by email at mcoudert@sbcglobal.net


Choirs:

Adult:

Sings at the 10:30 Mass on Sundays and for several special occasions during the year.  Rehearsals on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the church

 

Boys and Girls:

Sings at the 9:15 Mass on Sundays and for several special occasions during the year.  Rehearsals on Tuesday afternoons from 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. in the church

 

Resurrection:

Sings at funeral Masses as needed and for several special occasions during the year.

Eucharistic Ministers:

Non-clergy volunteers who assist with distribution of communion during Mass and bring communion to the homebound convalescent homes.  For more information contact Mary at 383-4313. 


Family Mass Group:

Family volunteers collaborate with our priests for their scheduled Mass(es) to participate in the Mass by developing a child-friendly homily, writing and reading petitions, and bringing up the offertory gifts.  Family volunteers are always needed.  If you attend the 9:00 Mass regularly please contact Marsha @ 384-0814 for more information.


MeetsThursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. from October through June in the Youth Group Room (located in the school).  For more information, please contact  Lara Linsenmeyer, Youth Minister, @ 384-1505. 
Teen Sunday Mass is held once a month.  Please consult bulletin for date/time.


Lectors:

Proclaim the readings at Mass and special occassions.  For more information contact Mary at 383-4313.


Operation Hope Meal Preparation:

Operation Hope provides services to people who are homeless and at-risk of homelessness. The parish family at Assumption provides an evening meal for Operation Hope guests.  Meal preparation takes place monthly on the fourth Tuesday from 6:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m. in the parish hall kitchen.  It is led by professional chef and parishioner, Don Catlin.  Volunteers are asked to bring a sharp knife, cutting board, and vegetable peeler / paring knife.  For more information, please contact Tom at 334-8096 or email flynjoycee@yahoo.com

Safe Environments:
All volunteers and employees of the parish are required to participate in and obtain certification in the diocesan Safe Environments training program.  For additional information, click here.

Signed Mass:
For the hearing disabled of our parish community, Sr. Nancy translates the Mass into sign-language.  The signed Mass takes place on the 3rd Sunday of the month at the 10:30  a.m. Mass.

Society of St. Joseph the Worker:
Meets the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at 8:00 a.m. for the sole purpose of sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting the church.  All are welcome. 

Ushers:
Assist in greeting Mass attendees, passing the baskets for the offeratory collections, and assist with seating within the Church. For more information, please contact Deacon Kevin @ 259-2072.
